Sudoku puzzles are incredibly popular. Newspapers carry daily puzzles, people download puzzles from the Internet and buy Sudoku books, Sudoku board games, and Sudoku computer software in bookstores. Bible Word Sudoku uses this format to teach children in third grade and beyond Bible vocabulary and verses. Borrowing from the traditional Sudoku format, this teaching resource uses letters instead of numbers to create Bible words. Each of the 54 puzzles includes a Bible verse with a missing word that is identified as students complete the puzzle. Four-, six-, eight-, nine-, and twelve-letter word puzzles are included to offer several levels of difficulty. Some puzzles include repeating letters to provide an even greater challenge.
